Just getting er’ done to reach the Panama/Costa Rica border. Along the way we pass someone on a similar voyage.

What happened…

Andrew writes: So we got the usual early start this morning and it was nice and cool for us. We were aiming to make it to the Costa Rica/Panama border and we pulled in just before it started to downpour in the early afternoon. Along the way we passed Kin from Hong Kong, who was walking from Cancun to Panama City. This wasn’t his first time on a long-distance hike as he had already walked from London to Hong Kong a few years before. Wow. Impressive.

Paso Canoas, while smallish seems a normal border town, with lots of cross-border shoppers and money changers and whatnot. There are heaps of hotels too.

Amanda writes: This was a pretty uneventful day and while we again were able to ride a long distance, it wasn’t that exciting. Somehow just having this time goal now is really changing the cycling for us. I’m undecided if it’s good or bad, but just different. And it’s still awesome that we’re able to maintain a higher speed than normal.
