Grand Canyon – Wow!

Take me out to the ball game, take me out to the crowds… First up was a drive through Phoenix, where we caught a Major League Baseball exhibition game between the Seattle Mariners and the LA Dodgers. It was pretty cool. Then we kept driving north towards Flagstaff, and the Grand Canyon. A lowlight along the way was getting food poisoning. I survived to tell the tale at least! If this is a precursor to future food poisonings, then while I don’t exactly look forward to them, at least I know what to expect.
Then we got to the south rim of the Grand Canyon and I was blown away! Wow!

Having the opportunity to rent bicycles and cycle along the south rim of the Grand Canyon was such an amazing time! I remember the previous “Great Wonder of the World” that I visited (Niagra Falls), and how I felt underwhelmed by it all. With the Grand Canyon, it was overwhelming just how big of a span, and depth the rock formations were. In total, we rode along the rim for about 4 hours (one-way), and I recommend this ride to EVERYONE who has a day to spend at this gorgeous place.
