Open Season October 15th, 2015 All Hwy#28, all day. A big climb up to the top of Beaver Rim then downhill to lunch at the Sweetwater Station Junction Rest Area, or rolling hills for dinner at the bar/cafe in Jeffrey City; that’s it!
October 14th, 2015 From Lander Cutoff head north on Hwy#28, up South Pass then down, down, down to the Hwy#287 junction. Consider fueling up in Lander (9mi) if heading east from here like we are; next store is in Muddy Gap!
October 13th, 2015 Criss-crossing the scrublands of the Wind River mountains on hard-pack gravel and old, dusty wagon-wheel trails. A better alternative would have been Lander Cutoff or Hwy #28.
October 12th, 2015 Starting in Pinedale, WY we head out E/SE on Hwy 189 to Hwy 353, then follow the Sandy-Elkhorn Road (gravel) all day to a wild camp in the MOFN.
