What an awesome Easter weekend. We kicked it off in Whistler, BC at the Fireside Lodge.
Our friends Nick and Monica, and their daughter Madeline joined us for two days. Friday saw us all on the slopes skiing. It was great fun being able to ski with them again, so soon after their daughter was born.
Friday night saw 30 of us sharing a delicious dinner of mussels and fries back at the Lodge.
Then on Saturday, Amanda and I snowboarded in the afternoon before enjoying a lovely Easter dinner meal for 40 at the Lodge. It is pretty cool getting to know other members, as well as meeting people who are visiting Whistler from all over the world. Examples include Anton, the adrenaline jockey from France, and Chris the professional poker player from Atlanta.
Finally, on Sunday we got on our bikes. Our friend Chris, “Ninja” Ma was in town from Edmonton, and so we went up into the Lower Seymour Conservation Reserve and rode Richard Juryn, to Circuit 8, to Fishermans. In all, we rode up and down for about 4 hours.
Then we bumped into Darren and Kelli from Endless Biking while we were washing off our bikes. We then all went to Heather’s for another Easter feaster. I think a lot more bike riding is in order so that we can work off all the calories we consumed this weekend!
